COMMUNITY SUPPORT CORNER

Donlin Gold is proud to support the wrestling team at Gladys Jung Elementary School in Bethel. The team is comprised of roughly 50 students, grades four through six. Their coach, Marty Smith, and a group of former Bethel wrestlers (Assistant Coaches) teach young wrestlers the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, being active, developing perseverance and, above all, being a student in life.
Gladys Jung has received support through various community donors, the City of Bethel and the Yukon- Kuskokwim Diabetes Prevention program. Gladys Jung relies on local donors and fundraising to support school activities and obtain materials needed to run the wrestling program, such as singlets, clocks for match management and additional supplies and equipment. Donlin Gold supported Gladys Jung with the purchase of a new computer, TV monitors and stands, individual face masks and water bottles.
