As a third response effort, over 300 five-gallon buckets were ordered and shipped to households without running water and or sewer within TKC villages. Community Relations is currently working to procure additional buckets from Kuik Run Store to be provided to homes in the Napaimute area that sustained damage from flooding this spring. In addition to providing buckets, several thousand bars of antibacterial soap were ordered and
shipped to the 56 Yukon-Kuskokwim region communities, as well as Grayling, Holy Cross, Anvik and Shageluk.
Donlin Gold maintains continuous, two-way communication with our neighbors throughout the region. We hope that everyone stays safe and healthy during this time.

MAKING PROGRESS CAUTIOUSLY
By Samantha Angaiak
After temporarily pausing Donlin Gold’s drill program
at camp due to COVID-19, the operation is back up and running with enhanced safety protocols that well exceed state and federal mandates. We continue to actively monitor best safety practices as outlined by health experts to ensure we are upholding our commitment to the people of the Y-K region and conduct our operations as safely as possible.
While we have extensively studied the area surrounding the project site, we have re-initiated our baseline studies on water quality and fish. Maintaining and gathering current information is critical to our developing the most environmentally responsible mine we can.
As part of our COVID-19 Prevention and Response Plan, every out-of-state employee or contractor must have two negative COVID-19 tests prior to traveling to camp. In-state employees are required to have 1 negative COVID-19 test before flying out to the Donlin Camp. In-region employees are required to have a COVID-19 test administered upon arrival to camp and also 3-4 days before returning to their home village. Camp employees are regularly screened for symptoms and must wear a mask during travel as well as maintain a minimum of six feet of distance in eating and living areas.
